Robot Review: Forex Real Profit EA

Today I am analyzing a new expert advisor the claims to be one of the most reliable automated trading systems ever built, Forex Real Profit EA. Even though this is my first review of the software, it has been on the market for 6 years, it just hasn’t been the center of much attention. That doesn’t necessarily mean that it is a poorly performing system, just one that hasn’t been publicized are marketed aggressively.

We are not introduced to the developer, or given any information about where they are located. From what I can see from the website and the forum, is that this is more than likely a one-man show. I have no issues with this fact, but I would like to know who that man is so that I can increase my level of confidence in the product. Forex Real Profit EA Review

The main aspect the Forex Real Profit EA developers wants to get across to us, is that they “were determined to create a trading robot which could make long-term profit with minimal drawdown.” They didn’t want to create a software that would only perform for a few months, and then fall apart when the market started to shift away from the current conditions. In order to achieve this goal, the created a Forex robot that uses 6 different trading strategies, based on the trading session.

The EA utilizes 2 scalping strategies during the Asian session, 2 more scalping strategies for all sessions, and 2 breakout strategies during all sessions as well. I do appreciate this concept, but I would like more information about each strategy, to understand why they are successful in the current sessions that they are built to trade. I have searched through the vendor forum, but have not come up with any more information. It is quite helpful that they do provide a forum, but there is very little conversation their up until this point, with the majority of the discussion happening before 2014.

Breakdown

  • Type: Forex Robot
  • Price: $199/year
  • Strategy: Scalping Strategies
  • Timeframe: M15
  • Pairs: EURAUSD, EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDCHF, USDJPY

As you can see above, the price for the Forex Real Profit EA is $199 per year. This isn’t overly expensive, but I do prefer trading systems that give me lifetime access for one fee. At the end of each year, I generally hate paying again for something that I already own. That being said, there is a 30 day refund policy, but you have to make sure that you get your refund in during this 30 days or it will not be honored.

Trading Results

There are 4 Myfxbook accounts provided by the vendor, but it seems as though only one of them is still active and it’s not verified. The 3 other accounts have all stopped trading, with one that ran until mid-2013, and another until late 2015.

This makes my job easier, because I’m really only analyzing one Forex Real Profit EA trading account. This main account is showing a 422% gain since June 2013, up to today. During this period, the highest draw down is 27%, with the monthly gain being 3.12%. The average win is approximately 11 pips, and the average loss is 17 pips. Since this account was created in 2013, there have been over 6300 trades.

For the most part, the trades are very small, and every once in a while there is a large trade around 40 to 100 pips.

One of the things I’ve noticed about Forex expert advisors that have run for long periods of time lately, is that their recent history isn’t all that impressive compared to the past. This is certainly the case here as well. In 2017, the EA has gained around 10%, which is a drastic fall from the performance the system has had another years. Even in 2016, you can see that the software is starting to slow as the gain for the entire year was around 20%. Considering this EA showing an overall gain of over 420%, it’s quite clear that the majority of this has come in the early years.

That’s not to say that the system doesn’t work anymore, but it’s certainly not as profitable as it used to be.

Client Feedback

I could only find one review from the community about the service, and it comes all the way back from 2011 so I don’t put too much faith into it.

Conclusion

I’m still on the fence as to how I would like to approach the Forex Real Profit EA, because I have concerns that the system’s best days are in the past. I’m also not a big fan of paying on a yearly basis, but obviously this is something I’m going to have to get over if I want to continue my tests.
