I can’t get enough of this system lately. I thought I was done with Forex trading 6 months ago after having a really bad time with the fapTurbo system. Hi i forex steam is awesome , i had to do a little tweak but its giving constant winners , 13 winners so far, and all i had to do was to add a trailing stop loss.
First 4 trades and i am 4 for 4, in the money ๐ . I’m using the defaults, no trailing stop, leaving stop loss at 90 and retrace left on.

why the tweak needed?
i did the tweak of adding the trailing stop loss, because it has happened a lot of times that i put a tp of 10 pips and it gets to 8 pips and it goes down all the way to 90 pips minus, so i put a trailing stop loss so that when it reaches a profit i do not lose that profit
I started up Steam few days back with four consecutive wins, and now my first loss yesterday evening.
I use the defaults but with one exception.
I have moved my stop loss in at 25 instead of default 90, i can live with 2.5% percent loss but not 9%.
I worried that the retrace (20%SL) may or may not kick in as a secondary stop loss. I just don’t want to take that chance that the retrace feature does not stop me out. I try to avoid high risks. -Larry
i also had a loss , but my loss was of 2 pips because of the trailing stop
Forex steam has continued to produce good trades for me over the past two months. I am now using some different settings than the defaults. I have started using the trailing stop function, I suggest if you are looking to take your trades to the next level with Steam that you do the same.

Forex Steam is making me about a thousand dollars a month on my $5000 account. Really happy with this rate of return. Might try using it on different pair soon to see if I can make even more.
I contacted developer from steam and they do not recommend other currencies, sighting its untested on other currencies, probably best to stick to what has worked for them.

Set take profit higher, so something like 100 then set a trailing stop to start at 10 and to stop at 10, that would give it quite a bit of room to breathe.

The market determines trade frequency. Just be patient and you’ll have trades soon as long as it’s setup properly.

Forex Steam continues to impress me. The only Forex robot I use. I dropped my TP down to 8 and that’s been helping me get out with wins even more, 35 straight wins with that one little tweak.

Yes, you will get more be patient.
I finally found out why my forex steam was not taking any trades. I had it working on multiple charts while the “magic” number setting was the same for all charts. Once I set a different number for each chart it starter trading like crazy. Also, I had set mm=false and I set my own lots..(I don’t know If that also made a difference or not), but now its working great.. no losing trade so far!
I see last week was tough but I’m sure Steam will bounce back, always does. Especially after a losing week, I’ll increase my risk a bit to pick up some easy wins. Still up over 200% this year.
Still my favorite robot, and always will be, keep it up Steam!
This is the only Forex robot I use and probably will be the only robot I ever use. A real long term winner. Use trailing stop if you want to take this thing to the next level.

Now i’m running 30 TP and 50 SL with trailing SL start at 8 and trailing stop 3.
I’m ok with just 3 or 4 pips some days and others it’s over 13pips. keep TP big i say but tight SL. Is anyone else using pipsretace of 20 or other value? I can’t seem to trade anything other than one pair.
Still my favorite system hands down. I heard they will be giving us a version 9 in the near future as well so I’m excited for that. I’ve tweaked the settings a little bit too. Using a lower TP at 7 and an SL at 110, may seem risky but I put a 45 win streak together and the retrace function is active so that saves me from getting the big loss.
Time to resume trading, holidays are over! I am running Steam light V8 with a TP of 8 and an SL of 80. Been having great results with this setup for some time. I really want to get into the trailing stop this year though. I’ll let you know how that goes, started the tests up on my Forex VPS today.

They were on a holiday shutdown for a couple weeks but they will resume with results this week. Just go back a couple weeks to see how it trades. Still works great.

Want to discuss the profit results per year the forex steam robot has made.
I have added all profits of the last 3 years after the forex steam demo account. Here you can see the overview of the profits:
Profits per Year in Pips:

Total: 2794
Average per month: 232.83
2012
Total: 2405
Average per month: 200.42
2013
Total: 1953
Average per month: 162.75
After this statistic you can see the profits got less year for year. I don’t understand that because the versions got better like the filters. The profits should increase. Please make your comment what could be the reason for that less profit.
You’re right. But my question was more if the profits lie near a real account why have they decreased year per year although the software is getting better with the bank holiday filters for example. That makes me a little bit sceptical!
Don’t be skeptical, it’s just becoming more cautious over time. People want less risk and so they give less risk. Makes it a smarter long term option.
The software in 2011 took a lot of risky trades and often got lucky. I saw it many times get away with poor entries.
There is no part of this software that is based on luck anymore, it is all very calculated and much better.
Testing some new settings for Steam that have proven to be quite successful. Here they are free of charge:
mm = false
Lot size = 0.2 – 1.4
max trades = 1
SL = 50
TP = 8
RetraceExit = true
PipStick = 40
PipsRetrace = 45
Thanks to a successful Forex Steam member for providing these, at one point I had 30 wins straight with these.

Thanks Stefan for your reply. It really opened my eyes up regarding the ‘truth’ behind FRN and FxSteam. To FRN & FxSteam, shame on you guys. Remember, what goes around comes around. You might be on top right now cheating people off their hard earned money, but one day you’ll definitely be down and others will cheat you in the same fashion. Then you would have a taste of your own medicine.
I use the ea forex steam now for a few monthes and i am happy with it in total. But i wonder now how long is the guarantee of this ea? Can you answer it? If the site would close and the product isn’t more available can i still use it? I have bought the product afaik. So i should could use it as long as i want.

The product will always be available. If you are not using a license then it is added back to your account. All this is from the FAQ on their site.
Ok ok, you also can’t say more. You can’t guarantee if your site would close that the customers will get the ea unlocked. I only can hope so the product will move forward still a few years.

Hi Ismail, I’ll make it simple for you. You have four accounts, if you have three versions of steam running at the same time you have one account open. If you stop using two accounts then you have three open.
Make sure to update your Bank_holiday file! It was released earlier in the week.
Are the results above(and past) just from the “Light” Version of Forex Steam? If not; is there anyone having success with the Normal version? What settings for it?…

Hi Fred, smartest thing to do would be to email Forex Steam and ask them. They will give you another option if possible. MyCommerce can probably help you as well.

Which broker do you use for your testings? I only can say there are a few brokers quote worse results than finfx. That is very strange. Don’t know on what it lies if other time zone or the broker itself kicks you out the profit trades. Hope you can post your broker to make it a good trading ride! ๐
