Now, it’s worth noting that in 2023, we haven’t spent too much time with the robot, as we have found much more success with commercial systems. While, this Free Forex robot is a great place to start trading, and get acquainted with automated trading, it’s not recommended for your live account.
This is a great robot, but it’s main purpose is to introduce you to automated trading. It isn’t meant to grow your trading account at a high rate. While it’s a free Forex ea that works, you shouldn’t rely on it, as it’s not tested to the same standards as commercial products.
If you truly want to earn in the Forex markets, you need to use a well known robot, from a reputable company that provides frequent updates, and verified trading results.
There are currently two robots that we utilize on a daily basis that meet all our expectations. These are not free, but we feel once you are done fooling around with a free system, you will want something more serious:
Getting MT4 or MT5 Installed

MT4 Downloads
Both of these brokers offer MT4 and MT5, but for the current Free robot, your best bet is to start with MT4. Both of the platforms are similar, and work nearly the same. Some prefer MT4, some prefer MT5, but there’s no real benefit to either as it stands in 2023.
For the purpose of using our free bots, you will want to use MT4, as that’s the platform they run on.

Using the software is as simple as setting it up and letting it run. In this video I will show you how to quickly and effectively take the free Forex fireball robot and get it working for you in no time.
If there is something you missed in the video you can easily pause as you follow through or rewind. For those of you who know how to install Forex robots already you probably don’t need to watch the entire video. So just download the zip file, put the free Forex robot file in the Metatrader4 experts folder and you will be up and running.
I will be producing another video shortly just updating the process, making it a bit easier to walk through and showing you some of the potential trade results as well. Hi Patrick. Looks like i’m having some issues with settings for FRN scalping bot. in the settings i set lot size: 0.01 and it opens a trade 0.10, third time already. Also SL and TP is set by default 30.0 (for both), however it opens wild 3000 pips… I can feel somewhere i’m going wrong.. but i can’t see what am i doing wrong. Is there a chance you could help me?

Hi Ara, this is the time filter, it can be adjusted. I recommend sticking to the members area rules when first starting out.

Eh is anyone else having problems getting Fireball running? Autotrade and DLL’s are on, I dropped the EA onto 4 pairs (Incl EURUSD), 1m timeframe. No trades for 3 days..? Hope some people are having success!
Check for errors in experts / journals tabs. It will tell you if there is an issue.

These free robots are MT4 only, correct. If you need MT5, consider Forex Fury. It has MT4 & MT5, but is paid.

You never open the robot file for MAC or PC. You simply copy and paste it.

It can’t be changed, it only works for .10. This was an issue when I was coding it. I may go back to fix it at a later time, but right now I’m focused on other projects.

Hi Mocia, these are free robots / ea’s. You can use them however you see fit. Me personally, I only use paid systems on my live accounts because they are fully developed and updated projects.

Email support and they’ll get you fixed up in no time, likely just need to adjust 1-2 settings, a 5 minute fix. There are easy guides on the website too.

Hoping you are doing well. Could you share the settings for MQ5? Or link an article with details. I can understand and follow the inputs but I think my settings are throwing the backtesting off and none of the videos have a screenshot of MQL5 windows client settings.
The robot stops trade after 3 days of backtesting.

Which bot are you interested in? These are all MQL4 bots.
My God! And I had been scratching my head as to why nothing was working. I had been running this on MT5. No wonder the results were all over the place.
I think I know what the issue is now. I’ll test these on MT4 before moving forward.

You can run Fury and Steam on the same PC and broker. There are no issues running these in the same platform even. Can use them however you like.

Hi, i am new here. I have questions just got and startrd using ur freefireball last 2 days. I started with an equity of 15 dollars. Using my live account. I do not want to lose so i started small. But the prob is i havent made profits in the last two days and the trade it entered hasnt closed i dont know if am to close them.
Secondly how long does it take to enjoy normal profit with ur robot.
Thirdly i want to know if i am to close the trade or the robot does that own its and do i allow if it is going against half of my equity.

hi, i really like your videos, but the strategy tester with the FRN bot has no had good results. i have tried in all the timelines and the default configuration, any tips?

Hi Patrick, great tools! I have been using the FRN on dozens of accounts and pairs and hours and hours of testing. The win rate is impiressive. I am not using it entriely as designed (I don’t leave it running unsupervised for days and days) and what I’ve discovered is that it is an excellent automated entry point bot. I quickly get into very prmosing trades often before my other indicators have picked up. I then monitor and close out at a point I am comfortable with – not being greedy, adjusting the SL and TP as I read the market with other indicators and usual monitoring. By using it in this semi-automated way the win rate is very high (80+%). Even today I am 13 out of 14 trades up. However as someone mentioned earlier, any changes to the default settings (e.g. lot size) don’t ever apply and all new trades open using default settings. Any ideas? Maybe I am missing something very obvious.

hey im having trouble using this EA ive left it running a while and it keeps trying to place trades but failing.

Make sure you allow live trading, and ensure the software is on a tradeable chart. You may want to ask your broker why you’re seeing this message.

Funny. Guy makes robot to show people how you can automate your own strategy as an example for educational purposes and gives it away for free and most of the responses are people complaining or asking whether it will make money in a live account. Nothing will ever make YOU money if you do not go through your own learning curve, until then you can search for the right but and LOOSE money until you get old and sick and tired of it.

Hi Avery, the bots are good for learning. Obviously you can test them and adjust them to fit to a live trading account, but that’s not really the purpose of these robots.

Hi Akshay, there are two robots. You can use them however you see fit. Adjust settings, optimize them, etc. These free robots are for learning and getting acquainted with automated robot trading.

I can see after a trade hits 10pips the stop loss will move to 5pips.
My question is how to set the “trailing stop” to 20pips?
I have tried to change the EA inputs at the “TrailingStop” from 40.0 to 20.0.
But look like it doesn’t work.

Sure, because if don’t have a “TrailingStop” to hit “TakeProfit” at 400pips is almost impossible. So will only have 5pips every trades is hard to see profits.
