The Truth About Trade Empowered

Today I’m looking at a Forex trading service that provides live trading rooms, training courses and proprietary software, Trade Empowered. The message behind this service, is that you should “live your passion.” The creators, Todd Brown and Jason Stapleton want to “build consistently profitable traders” by teaching them the right ways to trade and giving everyone a one-stop “trading education solution by addressing all of the factors critical to trading success.”

Trade Empowered Review

First, let me start by looking at the different products and services provided by Trade Empowered. There are 3 trading memberships, 3 training courses and 4 different indicators. I’ll go through each system, and analyze the trading approach, and hopefully the trading results to see what they have to offer.

Trading Memberships

The first membership program is their Live Forex Trading Room. This program is going for a yearly fee of $1773. This trading room is moderated by the Chief Currency Analyst at TradeEmpowered, Akil Tokes. Akil uses technical analysis, advanced pattern recognition and Fibonacci ratio analysis to find potential trades. The majority of trades are taken on lower timeframes, M5 and M5 on the EURUSD, GBPUSD, AUDUSD, EURJPY, GBPAUD, USDCAD and GBPJPY. The room runs Tuesday to Friday from 8am to 11am EST. There are a couple of testimonials, but no daily record of trading results.

The next program is the PPT Live Trading room which is from Monday to Friday, 7am-10am CST. This program has a one week trial, and goes for $1997 on a yearly basis. It’s quite apparent that the majority of the systems being put forth by Trade Empowered are on the high end, in terms of cost. This room is moderated by Mark Sedlak, who is a trading coach who wants to give traders “a place where they can interact with other traders that share the same passion.” There are no specific details as to the price pattern trading strategy being utilized for this trading room, nor are there a record of trading results.

The 3rd and last membership program is “The Syndicate” which goes for $582 per year. This “WarRoom” broadcasts a live video every Monday to Friday at 730am CST, which provides trading education and “practical application of tested strategies and real-time market conditions.” The syndicate also provides real-time notifications, video recaps of trades and introductory trading modules that “cover everything from brokers and charting packages, to market structure and support/resistance.”

All 3 of these trading memberships look impressive but they are expensive and don’t have the amount of live trading results and verified proof that I expected.

Training Courses

The first training course is the Trade Empowered complete Forex basics course, an essential guide for new traders. This system is being sold for $247 and includes one free month in their New York or London live trading room. This course comes with 40 training videos detailed through 5 modules. Each model will help grow the traders knowledge-base and set them up for long-term success in the Forex marketplace.

The second course, is the Advanced Pattern Trader “which is designed to teach traders the skill of pattern recognition.” These skills can be learned by traders of all skill levels and is being sold for $849. There are four main patterns that this software will teach traders how to recognize.

• The Advanced Gartley Formation
• The Advanced Bat Formation
• The Advanced Butterfly Formation
• The Advanced Cypher Formation

They believe that this strategy can be used in every single market because these pattern formations appear everywhere.

Lastly, there is the Ultimate Trade Transformation course which is being sold for $3997. This course teaches traders how to understand why and how the markets move. As well as provide 4 strategy modules that can be used to trade with immediately. With this program Trade Empowered wants traders to build a trading plan that can be utilized on a daily basis. They provide a live weekly question-and-answer session where traders can have their trades reviewed and skills critiqued.

I’m not a big training course guy, but if I was I would consider testing their cheapest course first and seeing if it offers anything above and beyond what can be found for free on the Internet.

Proprietary Software

I’m not going to spend as much time digging through every single proprietary software the Trade Empowered team provides. Here I’ll give a brief overview of the systems, what they have to offer and their prices.

• Dynamic Support Resistance – $297
• Constellation Pattern Recognition Software – $2497
• Price Pattern Trading – $1997
• The Balance Beam – $1497

Much like the trading memberships and training courses the proprietary software is very expensive as well. These systems are lifetime memberships. While I certainly appreciate some of the videos and strategic discussion for each system and program, I do like to see long-term trading results. Considering how long the Trade Empowered group has been providing their services, it’s a surprise to me that they don’t have a long list of trading statements and my FX book accounts for us to analyze.

Community Feedback

There aren’t too many reviews online about the Trade Empowered service, but there are a couple of common threads we’ve seen informs and other websites. One of the main issues is highlighted on the “harmonic traitors” website, which is a blog with many posts describing the creators of Trade Empowered as thieves, that have plagiarized his harmonic trading strategies and sold them under a different name. The creator of these strategies is Scott Carney, and he provides several examples throughout his blog posts. His course of action has led to legal action in the form of a cease and desist letter.

This is quite troubling.

There are other reviews that claim that the majority of the information in the trading courses can be found online for free but the services do a good job at bundling it altogether.

Conclusion

As I mentioned before, I’m not a big trading course guy so I don’t believe that Trade Empowered falls into my area of interest. I do believe that the developers of this service have adequate trading knowledge and put that out well in their YouTube videos. Yet, I’m not 100% sure that any of their offers are worth the extremely high price tanks they are commanding, especially with the claims that much of it is stolen. I guess if I had to choose one of the programs to sign up with, I would probably try out one of their live trading rooms because then you could just follow their trades and see if they are profitable or not for yourself.
